4. Week 1: Introduction (2/3/2014) View and Discuss Students will learn about Technovation and what to expect in the 12-week course.
5. Week 2: Market Research (2/10/2014) View and Discuss Students will define the market for their app, and learn about conditionals and logic statements.
6. Week 3: User-Centered Design (2/17/2014) View and Discuss Students will conceptualize how to design their app for its user. They will also learn about lists and loops.
7. Week 4: Incorporating Feedback (2/24/2014) View and Discuss Students will understand the importance of giving and incorporating others’ feedback. Students will also learn about databases.
8. Week 5: Entrepreneurship (3/3/2014) View and Discuss By the end of this lesson, students will have a better idea what being an entrepreneur entails and be familiar with famous entrepreneurs.
9. Week 6: Business Plan (3/10/2014) View and Discuss By the end of this lesson, students will learn the components of a business plan and understand the purpose of writing one
10. Week 7: Career Explorations (3/17/2014) View and Discuss Students will hear about mentor careers, understand what they do, be inspired by their love for their jobs, and see real-life examples of work
11. Week 8: Creating Engaging PowerPoints (3/24/2014) View and Discuss Students will learn how to create an engaging and effective PowerPoint presentation.
12. Week 9: Project Submission Guidelines (3/31/2014) View and Discuss Students will understand what their final project deliverables are and how to submit them.
13. Week 10: Effective Presentations (4/7/2014) View and Discuss Students will learn how to deliver a strong pitch and understand what judges are looking for.
14. Week 11: Pitch Coaching (4/14/2014) View and Discuss Students will practice presenting their pitch and receive feedback to improve their presentation skills.
15. Week 12: Reflection, Wrap-Up, and Post-Survey (4/21/2014) View and Discuss Students will reflect on their experience with Technovation, shared any insights and gratitudes they have with the group, and submit all deliverables.

posted message: Hi, I am the mentor for a team of 5 from Homestead High. I was not able to install the app inventor. When I try to open the dmg file - it does not open. I am using Mac 10.7.4 I have the correct version of java running which is java 7. Thanks, Mita
