Hi there! Almost done with the first challenge.........yay! Here is my first blog post. Please feel free to visit and comment!
You're now ready to share your magnificent blog post with your peers on the challenge discussion page. It doesn't have to be much, just something along the lines of "Hi, I'm Troy and I've just completed the first challenge, come and say Hi. I look forward to meeting you all"
I know that this will sound silly. Your blog is only "sort of" a website.
The goal of Webmaking 101 is to get you to MAKE a website from scratch. The nice Wordpress post is really very little more than some tricky word procesing, done through the editor built into Wordpress.com.
I've noticed a little negativity in your follow-up posts. Take heart. There is good research to indicate that the more ways we process information, the better it becomes connected to our habits. Writing the first HTML page by hand helps cement the concepts.
Don't quit. Do feel free to complain, though. Good luck, Jeff.
Hi folks! So here's my first blog post! http://powell-webmaker.blogspot.com/2014/03/hello-webmaker101-world.html
Hope there are still folks new to the challenge taking part! Let's do it!
I'm Rob, a Workforce Development Adviser for a regulator based in Scotland. I've been building websites for some time and wanted to take Webmaking101 as a way to earn some Open Badges and brush up on best practice.
Here is my intro post:
