My interest in this topic grew from my basic studies in Psychology, Ethics and Theology, this is an aspect that I would love to learn about and discuss with others.
This organisation is amazing and having literally 'stumbled upon' it using the stumble upon site, I have been taken aback by it's ingenuity and to be apart of that and learn from it would be a fantastic opportunity, especially in this topic, which I hope will further my development academically.
With regards to organisation I would prefer to be a part of the learning core for this topic, as it is my first experience with this site but I would definitely be keen to help in the future or once I find my feet.
I am an internet junkie who wants to learn how to focus my passions into my career.

This is my first course in P2PU. I am eager to experiment with new ways of learning. Death (and life) is a topic that I think about in random spurts. I have read a few philosophy books but would enjoy an opportunity to sharpen my thoughts on the subject - to see if I truly have a defined opinion about what death really means.
I would love to help the study group in any manner that I can so feel free to reach out to me.
I live in a beaucolic New England town. I am at least half way through this life and have raised three wonderful women who will be a blessing to society either through their art, knowledge or wisdom. I am interested in spending the second half of my life learning and contributing to community and society. I spend my free time writing, appreciating the arts, and riding a motorcycle. Getting my license in my late forties and learning to ride has given me the sense that there is so much that lies ahead in the way of learning new things. Now that I have the skydiving and motorcycling down it's time to feed the mind.

There was a point in my life when I stopped fearing death and became keenly interested in it. I worked as an aide for a local hospice and spent time bathing the dying. Being present at the time of such immense suffering for the terminaly ill was what formed my strong belief that each person should have the right to choose to hasten ones end.
By participating in this course I hope to become better informed when the discussion turns to moral issues regarding this important choice. A choice that I believe should be considered a human right.
This is my first P2PU course. I would prefer not to help with study group organization at this time.

I find the philosophy of death fascinating because death is something that nobody escapes.
The older I get, the more at peace I am with the thought of dying. By participating, I hope to see death from different perspectives.
I don't think I'll have time to help with the study group organization? =(
