School of Social Innovation
SoSI organizes open, peer-led courses for changemakers like you. All of our courses are:
- Free as the wind and open to anyone
- Peer-Driven from start to finish. Everyone who participates in a P2PU course contributes something to the process, whether helping prepare activities, facilitate discussions, organize meetings, or many other possibilities.
- Local and Global - SoSI courses can be started by an organization or university, or they can emerge from the grassroots, from community organizations, conferences, peer-led retreats, or other places. However they emerge, we generally aim for cross-city courses that combine face-to-face teams with global interaction.
-
Always Fresh, Never Frozen - all of our tools, resources, and process are open so that they can be be remixed.
Developing the School
In addition to organizing courses, there is also a lot going on behind the scenes at SoSI right now.
This year we are building the open frameworks, tools, and resources to support an open, peer-led Masters in Changemaking and also cross-university Minors and Majors in Social Innovation. In the process, we are pulling together teams to work on each of the building blocks that those projects require- including hosting kick-off events and retreats, developing flexible "guidebooks" for per-led changemaker action-learning, doing more community organizing at the local level, working on conference partnerships for launching programs and courses within an established network, and more.
We'd love to hear from you if you want to get involved. Email us at sosi@p2pu.org.
