How do we sustainably scale IkamvaYouth's impact while honouring the org's values and grassroots democratic processes?
IkamvaYouth is a by-youth, for-youth non-profit organisation that enables disadvantaged youth to pull themselves and each other out of poverty through after-school peer-to-peer learning and support.
The model is working effectively in five South African townships, and given its impact (more than 70% of ikamvanites access quality post-school opportunities) and low cost (through volunteerism and strategic partnerships), the time has come to significantly scale.
This study group will figure out strategies for sustainable scale which honour the organisation's values, ethos, culture, grassroots ownership and democratic decision-making processes.
